Let’s blow the final whistle on suicide!

Someone close to you, RIGHT NOW, could be making the decision to take his or her own life. They have reached the point where they believe that suicide is the only option. It could be anyone, a sibling, one of your parents, a colleague, an employee, an uncle or a friend. You may ask the question ‘Who takes their own life?’ Look in the mirror, look around you. Suicide does not discriminate.

This training, which takes approximately 20 minutes, focuses on breaking stigma and encouraging open conversations.

The training will provide you with the tools to enable you to:

1. Identify the signs that someone may be suicidal

2. Employ the correct language in asking the appropriate questions

3. Direct that person to the appropriate help.

It can be summarized as ‘Show you Care, Ask the Question, Make the Call.’

This will help save lives. As a club, we want to empower our members by encouraging them to complete this suicide awareness training.
